DJ Mix Competition for DeepWit Recordings

One of my favorite things is DJ Mixes. I love hearing great tracks strung together in unique and in an ear pleasing manner. I love how each DJ can bring his own style and personality to each mix. How they can lift you up or take you on a trip down a dark road. I especially enjoy listening to the unique ways people use DeepWit tracks in their mixes. With that in mind, we decided we would like to do a DJ Mix Competition.

We encourage everyone from our loyal fans and the DJ’s that continually support us to the DJ’s who have never heard of us to submit their mix. The label owners will pick the mix that has the best musicality, flow and gives us the most pleasure to hear as well as showcases what we do here at DeepWit.

Requirements to Enter and Submit

The mix has to be 1 hour  featuring only DeepWit Recordings and DeepWit Uncovered tracks. All submissions must be received by July 2nd 2012. Please send MP3 mixes compressed with a bio about yourself and the track listing via WeTransfer to deepwit@me.com or you can upload your set to soundcloud (please also include your bio and the tracklisting) and set it to Private and share only with us here on Soundcloud. After the winner has been picked you will be able to share your set in any manner you choose.

What you Receive if you Win

Winner receives a DeepWit Shirt of their choice as well as the next 3 releases for free. Their mix will also be played on Proton Radio, WestRadio, Tunnel FM and 2BContinued on our monthly Radio Show. As well as the mix going out to our subscribers on our Newsletter at the end of the July.

Silent Home – Autumn Park, Hammez, Ivan Garci & Soulight

“Silent Home” is a unique mix of tracks with each track and remix coming from a separate and distinct producer which gives this EP an unusual yet pleasant groove. The first track from Autumn Park, is a track with more of an Indie Dance feel, that catches you somewhere between a mellow cocktail lounge and a blissed out late night where you have lost your shoes. Ivan Garci’s remix of “Silent Person” takes you on a similar journey with a deeper and more melodic twist, well suited for a trip to the dance floor. The second original on the release from Hammez “Mom’s Home” is a feel good house track. with an upbeat and grooving vibe. The remix of this track coming from Soulight, takes the original and turns it into a bit dubber and deeper groove. With a release of such atypical styles and exceptional sounds, “Silent Home” offers you refreshing take on music.

DeepWit Spring Moods – Ev Darko, dEEPoint, Jonny Bee, Ejeca & Asona

Introducing our third DeepWIt Seasonal Compilation “Spring Moods” with five of our favorite upcoming artists, who will lead you on a journey of what Spring has to offer with their Deep sounds. Ev Darko starts off the release with “Dancing in the Dark”, a track with a slightly darker feel that works its way into what the beginning of this time of year feels like as we shake off the darker colder days and work our way towards the more uplifting feel of the season. Next up is dEEPoints “Magic N”, a refreshing track reminiscent of warm spring showers that leave you craving more of the same classic Deep House feel he offers up in this magical track. Jonny Bee follows up with “I Need You”, another classy warm and vibrant track which reflects the beauty and pleasure of new beginnings. As we move farther into the Season and closer to Summer, Ejeca’s track “Playground Moods” embodies the playful, dynamic and electrifying energy that comes over us as summer draws more near. The last track to round out the compilation comes from Asona. “Is My Sound” is that perfect track that gets you really ready for summer with its fluid sound and feet moving groove that will get you ready for the warm long nights ahead. This compilation for us, embodies the best of both Deep House and what Spring offers all of us, a new beginning, a fresh start and the deep beauty that keeps us going.
