Donate to the Red Cross after Super Typhoon Haiyan

Red CrossWe see it on the news, we see the pictures online and in our social media feeds. We may even know a few people who have visited the Philippines, are from there or live there. Yet, although moved, many of us fail to go from being moved to actively taking part to improve the situation. You can, for less than the price of the newest album from the latest pop star or the newest blueray edition of the newest blockbuster cheesy movie, vastly improve the life of a family struggling to get through the next several days and weeks.

13USD / 10 Euros  =

  • 2 Kilos of Rice
  • A loaf of bread
  • 1 Kilo of Apples
  • 1 Kilo of Chicken
  • Fresh water for a family of four for 2 days

Imagine losing everything you own, not knowing if all of your family is alive and safe, or where you will get the food to feed your spouse, your child, or yourself. Luckily there are wonderful organizations out there, like the Red Cross, that are working to provide food, clothes, and shelter to those who have lost everything due to this horrible Super Typhoon.

It took me less than two minutes to donate. Best spent two minutes of my day. Click the link below and donate what ever you can, 5 Euros, 10 Euros, 50 Euros, what ever you can afford via paypal and know you are making a world of difference for a fellow human being you share this world with.
