DeepWit Essentials Weeks 43 – 47 Pt. 2

Now to finish catching up on all the latest and greatest out there we’ve come across. Keep in mind we normally collect music links throughout the internet from artists we follow via social media, music that is shared with us, music we hear on the radio that is surprisingly good, mixes and charts ect. We can’t share the music if we haven’t heard it though so if there is ever anything you want to share with us, feel free by dropping us an email or adding us to your promo list 🙂

We are going to start off on a totally different foot this time, with something purely outside of the norm. We bought this album earlier this week after hearing the title track on the Radio. The Danish band Worn Out Sun offers up a really awesome and varied release, for any of you interested in this sort of music.

Now from Indie music to some Indie Dance / Indie House if there is such a thing. We are a big fan of the amazing work Mesake & Indre Ju put together and we are always mesmerised by their sound. This is our latest release and you can grab it now with remixes from Tim Angrave and Alvaro Hylander.

From one musician we love to another, David Oniani. We have worked with him several times over the years and honestly he is one of our favourite Jazz inspired producers without a doubt. If you like Jazz and you like House than this is the man you should be listening to. His latest release is out now on Crumpled Music.

If I only got paid for every time I pushed Cold Busted‘s music, I would be making a pretty penny about now. What can I say, we are just huge fans of a lot of the music they release and this Album from Zac Love is just an outstanding example of that.

Yes I know, I can be a bit predictable in my music tastes, including this very cool track from Intro Beats “Silly Walkin” on Lagaffe Tales.

I have no idea where this next artist came from but ever since we have noticed BDTom on the scene, we have been loving every single thing he has put his name to and this release on the brand new label Limitation Music, also well worth checking out.

And can we just say, pure class and quality right here from Sumsuch on UM Records? Love this remix.

Moving onto the tracks for those times you need to move or need to make others move, we have to start with this great track from Fer Ferrari on Plastic City. The entire release is tailored for the dance floor.

This is the second time we have heard Aiby & The Noise on Colour and Pitch and honestly, we can’t get enough of their grittier dance floor sound.

Finishing us up is Usmev‘s EP on Cymasonic Recordings. Deepermeister & Dive in You are the tracks for me, the other two are a bit too dark for my personal tastes, although Alvaro is crazy about the entire release.

DeepWit Essentials Week 9 & 10

I just want to start off by saying that after three years, this will be my 100th post here on the DeepWit blog. In the years I have written about our releases, how to send demo’s, how to fight piracy, the music we love and I’ve been lucky enough to interview some of our favourite artists and label owners. With almost three years from our very first release, I have never been happier with our decision to start up DeepWit and I look forward to everything that comes next 🙂

Lets start off with the one medium I hope to get DeepWit involved in, in the future. This beautiful Vinyl from Dilby on Bondage Music is one for your collection.

Now for a quick run down of the last two weeks best tracks we have come across, starting out with our latest release from Adjust, the owner behind Cosmic Disco Records. This track may sound familiar as we released a different version last year on our Autumn Sampler. “Get Out (Flute Dub)” featuring you know, a flute and remixes from David Oniani and the guys behind Adaptation Music, Tom Conrad & Andre Bonsor.

Chocky & Flumo Recordings, we love the music you release and this track is a great example of why.

This next one is from a really lovely release on Itom Records from Tibor Dragan, with three tracks to choose from, it was between the Original and the Marco Grandi Remix for us.

Onto a release from another regular label here on our blog chart, the latest release from What Happens from Jon Sweetname.

And this remix from Max Graef of KDIM on Odd Socks is just pure awesomeness.

Now for something from 1Trax and a new name for me, Silk 86. Really love the house floor groove of this track.

And for one more track for the floor we have a great take from Benny Grauer on Mood Music.

Now to move onto some really wickedly wonderfully LP’s. I love the well developed flow and the feel of being lost in a great album and all these three albums are exactly these types of Downtempo, Jazzy and Deep House moods that make perfect companions for everyday listening.

This album from from Flashbaxx is just stunning, quality music. I could easily loss myself in this album for hours and days on end. My neighbours will be hearing a lot of it this spring.

And if that wasn’t enough good music, I would highly recommend this outstanding album from Hamza. With a little more world beats flavour, its another Album for the music lovers.

To finish it off this week is a really unique and quality House & Deep House album from Alex Sosa on his label Lovely Records for those that need an album with a bit more umph in it.

Adjust – Get Out

With the dawning of spring, we bring to you a fresh and invigorating single from Adjust with remixes from David Oniani, Tom Conrad & Andre Bonsor. The original track may sound familiar as we featured a version with KoolSax on our Autumn Air sampler last year. Adjust has offered up a different vision on this single, entitled aptly “Get Out (Flute Dub)”. The man behind Cosmic Disco Records, and half of the duo Zweistein, offers up a classy deep joint with a playful flute to keep the track light and perfect for entertaining. The first remix comes from two gents out of the UK who have helped shaped the sounds of Soulful & Deep House with releases on their own label Adaptation and on other labels like Seasons Recordings, Disclosure Project Recordings, Alma Soul Music and Green Martian. Tom Conrad & Andre Bonsor provide a sophisticated and house infused remix with a lush deep vibe. David Oniani, a veteran with several releases on DeepWit, including his track “The Journey” available on our exclusive Collections CD, is the last remixer on the release. His respect of Jazz music comes through perfectly in this exceptional take, featuring a beautifully played sax and swinging house feel made for a dance floor. Maintaining a classy, vibrant and deep feel throughout, this single embodies the fusion of styles that are the foundation of Deep House.
