DeepWit Essentials Week 12

I’m going to come right out and say I would love to offer a valid excuse for not having kept up with the blog chart. Honestly though, I don’t have one. Yes we have been busy with building a new website, where this blog will call home along all of our other awesome stuff. Yes, it is warming up, which means more time preparing the vegetable garden for planting and getting new fruit bushes in the ground. Yes, we did decide to start on a ridiculously huge release schedule for the year, with something like a release every week. Oh and have I mentioned I’ve taken up knitting? Ok I feel much better about having dropped off from the DeepWit Essentials posts in the last three months but I plan on making them a bi-weekly habit again, alongside writing more advice posts, how-to’s and Q & A’s. Maybe slide in a few guest posts and charts if I can manage to get anyone interested! And with no further chit chat let me start off on this weeks essential tunes.

This one is a bit older, from last month. Which lets be honest, with quality music there isn’t an expiration date. Thanks Stratospherik for always putting out quality music, we are big fans of the Stratoliner sound.

Up next, another one from last month we missed out on. This one comes from Ready Mix Records and Addex plus remixers. We are really partial to the Original and Forteba Remix.

And now for some more recent stuff, including this great remix on Lagaffee Tales. The entire release is lovely but the Lay-Far remix really hits the spot.

This one from the Allovers on Pole Position Records is exactly what we like in a Dub.

As a general rule, you can count on DeepClass Records to come up with some lovely deep stuff and this EP from Hraach is no exception.

Here is the latest from Adaptation Music with Yan Gordo is an all around charmer, especially the Yohan Esprada Remix.

Now for some floor moving sounds from Tim Andresen on his own label What Happens.

And it wouldn’t be fitting to make an entire chart without adding in our latest release with Venntaur, which has been blowing up across the globe, getting massive airplay and support due to how very awesome it is. Just Listen.

To finish off the digital side and bordering on the vinyl we have this remix from Kalabrese of “Signs” from the Howling. Something that should be in all our collections.

This Vinyl releases on Big Bait Records with Odysea, Georgi Barrel, Joseph Tacker and Hendrik Vogel is available now.

And the last of our chart this week is another Vinyl but in it’s pre-order stage from Muzik & Friendz and we love the Pablo Bolivar remix of Frederick Alonso & Pat Lezizmo‘s track “Tablao”.

See I told you, I’ve been busy.

DeepWit Essentials Weeks 48-51

NEWYEAR

Happy New Year!  There is nothing like a fresh start, with renewed vigour and hope for the future and I want to take a second and wish everyone a wonderful new year. We hope you find what inspires you and that you’re brave enough to follow your passions. May this be a year that is unforgettably happy and success for you and your loved ones.

One of our passions, obviously, is music and with that we look forward to an amazing 2015 with some great releases, including a special series of “Remixed By” from some of our favourite DeepWit artists remixes tracks from our back catalogue. We look forward to sharing good music and hopefully helping you make some good memories in 2015.

And to start us off we are going to begin with our latest release here on DeepWit, Deep House United Vol. 2. All outstanding labels dishing up some of their best tracks, make sure to grab your copy.

Up next we have to of course remind you have our release from a few weeks ago, which is completely on fire right now. Jonbjorn is an outstanding producer and the remixes coming from Junktion and Viktor Birgiss are top tracks.

Enough about how awesome we are and now onto how awesome this new production alias from Robot Needs Oil is and how awesome his label is. So good in fact we are going to share two releases from My Neighbour Is. This first is from Cold Busted.

And this one is from his own label Neighbour Jam. Check it out.

And over to one of our longstanding favourite duo of producers, The Messenger. We are digging this soulful house vibe from their new remix on Adaptation Music.

Now for some Satoshi Fumi, because you can always count on him for a wonderful vibe and this track on Bass Work Recordings, I just adore it.

Now for a great remix from one of the best female producers out there, Miss Disk. Here remix of BiG Al‘s and Rishi K.’s track “Behind Closed Eyes” on Lovely Records.

Now for a bit of hypnotic percussions from Tim Andresen on his label What Happens.

And at times you just need a track to dance to and these next two are exactly that. This one on Red Lunar Records from the Di Chiara Brothers won’t allow you to sit still, I promise.

Cocaine is indeed an apt name for this track from Filipe Neves & Steven Pluck & Claytonsane on Mellophonik with the M. Rodriguez remix taking the cake for us. Dance it away.

And a little something for the vinyl lovers to welcome in 2015. Axe on Wax is becoming one of our go to labels for outstanding Vinyl releases. This little 4 track is good all the way through with the Speakdeep, Dimkal and Eman track being our favourite.

And the last of the bunch today comes from Outplay, another top label run by Junktion, who we just had the privilege of releasing with a few weeks ago. This lovely little three track from Daniel Leseman is one for every deep vinyl collection.

DeepWit Essentials Weeks 43 – 47 Pt. 2

Now to finish catching up on all the latest and greatest out there we’ve come across. Keep in mind we normally collect music links throughout the internet from artists we follow via social media, music that is shared with us, music we hear on the radio that is surprisingly good, mixes and charts ect. We can’t share the music if we haven’t heard it though so if there is ever anything you want to share with us, feel free by dropping us an email or adding us to your promo list 🙂

We are going to start off on a totally different foot this time, with something purely outside of the norm. We bought this album earlier this week after hearing the title track on the Radio. The Danish band Worn Out Sun offers up a really awesome and varied release, for any of you interested in this sort of music.

Now from Indie music to some Indie Dance / Indie House if there is such a thing. We are a big fan of the amazing work Mesake & Indre Ju put together and we are always mesmerised by their sound. This is our latest release and you can grab it now with remixes from Tim Angrave and Alvaro Hylander.

From one musician we love to another, David Oniani. We have worked with him several times over the years and honestly he is one of our favourite Jazz inspired producers without a doubt. If you like Jazz and you like House than this is the man you should be listening to. His latest release is out now on Crumpled Music.

If I only got paid for every time I pushed Cold Busted‘s music, I would be making a pretty penny about now. What can I say, we are just huge fans of a lot of the music they release and this Album from Zac Love is just an outstanding example of that.

Yes I know, I can be a bit predictable in my music tastes, including this very cool track from Intro Beats “Silly Walkin” on Lagaffe Tales.

I have no idea where this next artist came from but ever since we have noticed BDTom on the scene, we have been loving every single thing he has put his name to and this release on the brand new label Limitation Music, also well worth checking out.

And can we just say, pure class and quality right here from Sumsuch on UM Records? Love this remix.

Moving onto the tracks for those times you need to move or need to make others move, we have to start with this great track from Fer Ferrari on Plastic City. The entire release is tailored for the dance floor.

This is the second time we have heard Aiby & The Noise on Colour and Pitch and honestly, we can’t get enough of their grittier dance floor sound.

Finishing us up is Usmev‘s EP on Cymasonic Recordings. Deepermeister & Dive in You are the tracks for me, the other two are a bit too dark for my personal tastes, although Alvaro is crazy about the entire release.
